still waiting...

In my opinion, there are 2 types of movies that we will not watch for the 2nd or 3rd time.

1st type ... SHITTY movie. 屎片/爛片 No need explain more kan?

2nd type ... GREAT movie. A movie that is so good that you dare not watch again. Maybe too good till you can't stop crying. I got 1 in my list ...

A Korean movie about a boy and his grandmother. Very touching one. Made me think of my late grandma only. I bought the DVD few years back. Watched once. Till now still dare now re-watch it. Sob sob... :(

Are they any movies that is so good that you dare not watch again?

  5. I also got that Korean movie, also watched once and kept it away till now, never re-watched.... till today, still recalled the last part that the grand son was leaving his granny after a stay together for weeks.... leaving with thousands of word but untold from their mouth.... quite impressive and touching...

  7. I am quite different, when a movie is so good, I like to watch it again and again.

Ever watch Hachiko? That's on the top of my Great Movie List, it's about a very loyal dog based on a Japanese true story. The story is so touching that they even built a shrine of the dog in the town where it happened. Oh, it's an English film starring Richard Gere by the way.

Other than that? Well, silly romantic movies like 'Sabrina' starring Harrison Ford, he is my all time favourite :) In fact I love all of his movie except Six Days Seven Nights - his part looks out of the way stupid I think :(

Then there's Meg Ryan and Sandra Bullock's movies...... Well, I can go another 10 paragraphs but you'll bored.... haha!

  8. Oh ya, there's also 'Matilda', a children's story based on Roald Dahl's book (my all time favourite author), try watching it, it's funny and so touching at the same time :)

By the way, 'Matilda' won the Children's Books Award in 1988 and was voted the most popular children's book in 1999, but that doesn't mean we adults cannot read it!

  9. Mystery movies I generally can't re-watch. These are the kinds that have excellent plot and script so re-watching it with the knowledge of the whole plot quite potong loh.

So if a movie like that gets spoiled for me before I watch it, I get quite upset too. lol

  11. Coincidentally, I just watched this few hours ago. Very funny and touching. He even get 100% when he only wrote 'I don't know' in essay about 'DAD'. His grandma is a very funny one and very logical.
