to hug, or not to hug.

A friend in the gym told me the story of her life. It's really sad. She even teared a bit when at certain part of the story. I just looked at her and told her to calm down, cos it's at the gym. And people can see what's happening.

I know i should give her a hug. But fyi, i am not a very 'physical' guy. I don't like people hugging me, holding my hand or rest their arm on my shoulder. Do you think that i'm a 'cold' person for not giving her a supporting hug at that moment?


Are you a 'huggy' person who like to hug others when you are happy or sad or for no reason?

    im a huggy person! :) hahaha.. sometimes to a point where the bf will be jealous cos i keep hugging other people.. lol.... but he understands la... he also is a huggie person! :)

    ditto to alan, sometimes a hug is all it takes..

    Yeah, i am a big fan of hugging too., but only to the ones i am comfortable with. I agree with Tuls, it does convey more effectively. Well........ if you are sincere, just a pat on her hand and teary eyes would mean a lot to her. You guys are all soak in sweat anyway. Maybe she is the one who doesn't wants to be hug leh? ;)

    Hey, so you are a good listener! Can I start pouring out my life story to you as well, it might take days and tonnes of you tears and a hug from you will be much appreciated, haha...

    I wonder how close this lady is to you to tell you sad stories of her life???

    Yes, I like to hug and be hugged, but only to those close to me :)
