Back in KL on the 1st day of CNY. Met up with some friends for a drinks. But the best thing is the traffic was is so light. Not many cars on the road. So i can reach the venue faster without grumbling about the heavy traffic and worried about being late.
I'm not talking about a person.. but a pot , a LOVE POT actually. It's something that i saw during my Korea trip last December. But couldn't get it that time. Cos it's not something that they sell on the streets. So i have to ask my friend in Korea to get it for me.
What is a LOVE POT? It's an aroma humidifier with a simple yet chic potted-plant look item. If you think that i want it just because of the look, then you are so WRONG!!! Besides the fact that the look of the pot is suitable as my home decor, i bought it cos part of the profit from the sale will be donated to World Vision. Isn't it great? You can do a bit of charity and get something chic in return. I don't mind to doing few more charities just for it :P
Received an email from my ex colleague ~ Ms Tan yesterday. She is finally going to tie the knot with her boyfriend of 10 years, which is working in the same company. I am very happy for both of them, cos they are nice people.
But suddenly i thought of something funny and weird ( as usual la ;p )
Cos after getting married, she will have to use her husband's surname. Now, the surname of her husband is Wan (溫).
So, after the wedding should i call her Mrs Wan or Madam WAN TAN ?
Is it safe for me to say that most ( NOT ALL ) of the Chinese people are money minded? Cos if you listen to the Chinese New Year songs, most of them are money related. Earn more money la, get more gold la, kena Mah Piau la, stay big house la.....
What will happen if we apply the MATERIALISTIC element in the Christmas songs?
Twelve Days of Christmas ( 發大財version ) :
On the Twelfth day of Christmas my true love sent to me... 12 MAHPIAU striking 11 SERVANTS a-serving 10 財神 a-leaping 9 MISTRESSES dancing 8 CHILDREN a-milking 7 KOI a-swimming 6 BENZ a-lining 5 GOLDEN rings 4 SWAROSKI birds 3 French BUNGALOW 2 DIAMOND dove and a partridge in a MONEY tree.
Sometimes i am quite amazed with myself. We know that people in creative line must be creative and always have those out-of-the-world ideas. I'm not saying that i am great in my job, but my dreams are definitely out-of-the-world!!!
Dream 1 : There is some kind of new weapon which is very harmful. Or should i say anything will be dead once touched by it. I was so ' SUEY' that while i was holding that weapon, the liquid from the weapon kena my teeth. 4 of them, 3 upper and 1 lower. I was so sad cos when i smile, i can see 4 holes and it is so ugly!!! ( what? nothing special? wait for the second one... )
Dream 2 : I am a man, a PREGNANT man!!! ( Now, this is not ridiculous, cos it happened in US ) I was so tired with the pregnancy. But still have to buy baby's stuff in IKEA. And i was so upset with my family, cos none of them want to go baby shopping with me.........
WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME??? Don't tell me about 日有所思，夜有所夢, cos never come across my mind that i will get pregnant!!! （連夢都可以作到醬，還不是注定吃這行飯？哈。）
For the record, i am not a fans of SURPRISES. Cos i am not very good in responding, especially if i'm in shock.
Went for lunch today with KK at The Gardens. Half way eating, i noticed that there's a woman ( ok lah, young lady ) standing next to my table and was staring at us, me. So i looked at her. OMG!!!! It's Win-ni, my beloved Biaomei!!! She is back from London. I was so happy and gave her a hug. And i was totally blank for few minutes cos too shock to see her.
Then only i found out that it was actually her plan to 'pakat' with KK to give me this surprise. Tak sangka busy people like him will help her with this. Long story short, i am very happy to see Win-ni, and thanks to KK for making this happened. It's definitely one of the best gift in 2009 so far. ( hahaha, it's only the 8th day of 2009 )
I always have difficulties buying long pants. Thanks to my 5:5 body proportion. If i can wear a pants nicely, that means there's problem with the pants' cutting. ;p
So i was at the S&K today, trying to buy a cargo pants for class. The sale staff was too 'helpful' that he keep on showing the new arrivals to me. I smiled to him and told him that i only wear pants of certain cutting. Cos my legs are short, not nice when i wear that type of cutting.
Then he gave me a very 'useful' tips : "Actually if your legs are longer, you can wear slim fit pants or skinny jeans which is in trend now. We have some designs which is very nice." ( X你！鬼唔知阿媽係女人啊？If my legs are longer worr... ） Luckily my mood was ok today. So i just smile to him and walk away. Of else, he will be my 2009 open year (開年) victim!
Do you know that the name of this 'short-legged' chicken is called " Ayam Katek"?
I LOVE shit.... There's this pancake that they make it in the shape of shit with red bean paste in it. Very tasty, and funny.
I LOVE Nanta... One show that you must watch if you go to Korea. It's Nanta. Stomp performance using kitchen utensils. Very creative and entertaining. I like it cos besides watching the performance, they have a segment where they interact with the audience. So it's different from watching movie or musical. Decided to watch it last minute. Luckily still got ticket available.:)
I LOVE Japan. ( huh? it's Korea trip le...) Yup, the conclusion of the trip is ~ I love Japan more than Korea. Maybe bcos of the culture, the place, the food, the language, the people and the enviroment. I just love Japan.:))
p/s : It was sleeting on the day i left Korea.
** almost forgot. i was trying to get a slightly longer hair wig ..just for fun cos always with short hair.. . and its so cheap in Korea. i tried, and i looked so ' AQUA-licious' and damn 'AH-GURL-LEE'....hahahaha ( no pics )
The minute i stepped out from the flight, i can see the whole area was covered with snow from the night before. It was so white, and so NEW to me. Really excited. And the bus journey from airport to hotel was very exciting. Cos i am seeing some scenery that i will never see in Malaysia. Took some pictures. Reached hotel, rested for a while. Then walked around to feel the snow.
Nothing much happened in this trip. As i said earlier, i didn't buy any thing for myself. No mood. But i think i am in love with Korean food. Especially the spicy and soupy ones.
Ginseng Chicken Soup
Seoul is packed with people all the time. A bit inconvenient for me cos don't feel comfortable to go to a crowded place. Plus i think their fashion sense there is not as good as Japanese. So nothing interesting to see oso. But i did passed by the JYP studio. ( JYP = agent for Rain, and other Korean artistes ). There's a group of mui-mui chais waiting at the entrance. Dunno waiting for who la, cos i am not a fan of Korean artiste ....
