UPs and DOWNs

It was a hectic week.
A week that is full of ups and downs.
All the overwhelming offers and opportunities made me happy and excited.
Then the long wait and some cancellations pulled me back to reality.

I used up all my emotions and feelings in that week.
So now i am just an 'emotionless' living object.....

To pay, or not to pay ?

Yes..this is a continuation from the previous entry ~ "To cash, or not to cash ?"

Just when i thought that everything is going well....,
My sis called : ' Ko, you have 3 summons.....'

See? That's why i am so worried whenever i received cheques.
I think i am cursed. Why la? Why me?
Maybe i should advise my clients to pay me cash, or bank in the money for me.

Another thing...i will try to follow the speed limit from now on.
Damn..they are really good in taking pictures.
But i wonder what they took...only the car registration plate, or the driver as well? Cos, who knows, they took my picture in a really bad timing...or bad angle...or bad lighting...
Summon is summon...but face still have to maintain VOG-GUE ;p

- quit RS - for good
- big change in my life - work as FREELANCER
- i'm 30 years old - finally...and i know i look even better ;p
- started my dance instructor life
- went to Singapore, London ( UK ), Paris ( France ) & Rome ( Italy )

There is 1 thing that i am famous for in RS ~ I've been to their annual dinner 6 times. And i won Best Dressed 4 times. Glamour-nya aku...

2002 - Night of Glamour ( as MYSELF ;p )
2003 - Bolloywood Night ( as the Creative Director of Vogue India - lol )
2005 - 70's Night ( forgot to bring camera )

2006 - Around the World ( as the Guest of Honour for Fashionista Africana ;p )

2) My 1st time overseas holiday for so long - 3 weeks
Really an eye opening trip...learn a lot of things about other people's culture..good and bad...but at the end of the trip...i came up with 1 conclusion ... MALAYSIA is still the best ;)

1) There...my trip to Bangkok..and see what i brought back ;))



2) It was my last year before i hit the big 30. So i decided to do something while young. So i participated in this fashion show..and guess what? I was the WINNER !! I didn't tell a lot of people about this.
Now who say that short leg people can't model? ;p


3) Went to Eason Chan's concert....BRAVOOOOO

2004 ( 27 years old )
- change job again ...now with Melium Group, doing VM for those international designer brands ( Hugo Boss, Aigner, Zegna, etc. )
- the most exciting and tiring job for me...but i guess i enjoyed it very much..the enviroment & the colleagues
- went to Singapore, Hong Kong & Bali ( Indonesia )

BIG MOUTH talk :
1) It was the launch party for Hugo Boss @ AvenueK. Saw lots of celebs..but most of all ~ PAULA ABDUL, DAVID BLAINE, DEVON AOKI and BAI LING. No picture cos too crowded and kan chiong..but aku sumpah, i saw them !!!

2) Did the annual dinner decor..themed "Fairytale"..dressed in 'Emperor's New Cloth"( refer to Biaokho-Biaomei )

3) Bali was fun. Stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel.





2005 ( 28 years old )
- back to RS ( damn! i am not a good horse ;p )
- went to Shenzen ( China ), Macau & Hong Kong

1) I was really lucky to be interviewed by a reporter from China Press regarding my job and my experience. And they published it on Christmas Day...3 full colored page le..banyak untung lo..

2) I was in HK during the grand opening of HK Disneyland. Nothing special. and some pics in Macau..



3) Went to watch Jacky Cheung's Musical - Snow.Wolf.Lake.Most expensive show ticket ever bought. Was really excited. But disappointed cos it was not up to my expectation and imagination. Maybe it's in Mandarin and in KL.

Same old, same old

Went to dinner with Mika, Sheali and Hayden just now.They brought me to a place that i missed so much ~ the famous "look-look' stall in Klang. Once i reached there, i can see that most of the things are still the same. Same uncle, same mini fork, same wall color.....I think the last time i went there was at least 10 years ago, when i was still in secondary school. What a great feeling, to revisit some place that means something to you ;)

I've been staying in KL for more than 10 years. I think it's good to go back and eat at the places that i used to go once a while...just to enjoy the moment and memories...

Was a bit dissappointed when i reached Japan, cos it is not as nice as i imagined or how we saw from the dramas. But still got some interesting place and stuffs to see la.

First time eat authentic Indonesian Nasi Padang...it's really a food feast..a table full of dishes...just choose what you want.
Then look at the staffs ...from our new branch in Jakarta..( keep my mouth shut ;p )

Memoirs of Big Mouth ( Part 1 )

Old people like to talk about the past. That's what i am going to blog..about THE PAST..;p

As i was ironing my clothes just now, i looked at the calendar. 21 April 2008, Monday...got appoinmnet or not? Wait, wait...April 2008? Suddenly the month and year caught my attention. And it hit me...WOW!!!! I started working in April 1998... 10 years ago..i've been working for 10 years..!!

Since i'm into blogging now, might as well do a summary of my 10 years story. Starting with 1998 ~ 2000 :

1998 ( 21 years old )
- 1st job - Isetan Lot 10 as their Visual Presentation Artist, then transfered to KLCC when it was launched
- earn so little but still can afford to have a Frisco Frappe Latte at San Francissco Cafe almost every evening after work
- typical freshie, still very innocent

1999 ( 22 years old )
- 2nd job - Anaita Fashion House as Merchandiser cum Buyer
- 1st time go on an airplane, and went overseas for buying trip
- went Hong Kong and Singapore

BIG MOUTH talk :
1) yes , yes...as i was shopping at Tsim Tsa Tsui after work, i passed by the HK (dunno what) Auditorium. And i saw a lot of people. So i kepoh go see go see lo. Then i found out that it was actually the HK Film Award ( not sure the English title ). Straight away i took out my camera and snap...snap..snap..

2) 1st time watching concert..and it was FAYE's..who else ?;p

All i know is i behaved like some crazy guy in the concert ;p




2000 ( 23 years old )
- 3rd job - Tangs Dept Store as Brand Development Assistant
- design and buy for "NEXIS" and "STUDIO MEN
- went Hong Kong
- but some not so good review from the media during our SS Fashion Show ( i guess that's why i switch to VM after that )

BIG MOUTH talk :
1) We watched Aaron Kwok's concert at Stadium Merdeka. Paid Rm15 and sit at the RM150 area. Why? Someone from Pepsi told us that the ticket sale was very bad..so ask us if we interested la...RM15 onli wo...the Tangs gang should remember how we walked from Starhill to the stadium after work.;)

To cash, or not to cash ?

I received a call from my client today. My payment cheques are ready. YES!!! At least my bank amount will look slightly supportive and healthy. But i always feel worried when i collect cheques. Cos everytime i cash in some cheques, something will happen. It's either my car broke down, or i have to pay an amount of money for some unexpected things.

And then my friend told me something ~
" It's better to collect payment and then something happened, THAN something happened and no payments."

I AGREE !!!
