Got a call from the gym's coordinator. Apparently, they received one complain letter from one of their member ( a middle aged housewife ). And she was complaining about my class. They know about the member's reputation ( not her first time complaining about the instructors ). And it's just a formality to let me know.

According to the member :

- i teach too fast
- i talk too much in the class
- i do too complicated choreography
- my dance steps are too sexy and sometimes a bit slutty

OMG!!!! I AM FLATTERED!!!
Finally, a recognition after shaking my not so rounded hips for so many years!!! LOL ;p


Oh my oh my. This definitely made my day. And the best finale for 2010.

I have to give some credit to this recep girl at Celebrity Fitness, Wangsa Walk Mall. She is very cheerful, polite and friendly, to all the guests. I think she basically greet and compliment everyone that step in and out of the gym.

I was there to return my towels after the class.

" Hi sir, how was your workout? "

" Good, but tiring la. "

" That's great. Meaning you burned lots of fat. See you next time. Enjoy your day."

" Thank you. You too. "

She is so friendly till an unfriendly person like me also feel guilty if i don't response to her. Sometimes i wonder how come people got so many GOOD things to say? Cos if i am the recep, i think i'll just use my standard for lines lorr...

GAGA book, picture holder, socks, shade, t-shirt, CD folder, etc. Most of them are useful to me, except ONE thing. This is the gift that i got for gift exchange in the party.

That was exactly what i said when i unwrapped the gift in front of everyone. And btw, the comb was voted one of the WORST Christmas gift at the party!

It was the annual Christmas eve party with the gang. And the theme this year is : LALA. This is my 'Red Carpet' look, taken in a " home studio". Very cheap horr? I think i am the most 'up-to-date' lala among them, cos i have my Lady Gaga shoulder pads and Disney Tron's light strip on my shirt. LOL.

FYI, i lost my Best Dressed title to Ms Lai by just 1 vote. But it's ok, cos i voted for her as well.

I think we are a bunch of really serious people. Cos right after the countdown and the gifts exchanged, we immediately sat down and discuss on the next year's theme. Last year was OTT ( 浮誇 ) and this year is LALA. And we can't decide what theme to set for next year. Some wanted to do 70's, or 80's and maybe drag as your favorite artiste.
Any suggestions? Must be fun and hilarious and cukup MEMALUKAN !!

it's the season ..

Yup. Not only it's the holidays season, but the season where people send FORWARDED SMS/MMS to others as well. I started to received those SMSes this morning, and it's from one of my aunt. I was like, hokay .. it's finally here.

Honestly, i do not like to send forwarded SMS cos i think it's more sincere if you type the SMS yourself, be it a long poetic or just a short one. So people, don't be surprise or upset if you forwarded some SMSes to me and didn't get any response from me. Cos i just won't, unless .. i'm interested in you. LOL ;p

2010 : Mission Last

I've been extremely busy for the past few weeks. And bcos of that, i cancelled lots of classes and skipped the workout session in gym. Therefore, i'm now out of shape.

My dada dah kecut, my pinggang dah kembang and my bontot .. dah entah ke mana.

Therefore, i sort of set a last personal goal/ mission for myself for this 2010 ~ " to get back in shape when the new year comes. and if possible, to lose 2 to 3 kg as well. ;p "

Went to the supermarket to stock up the fitness cereals and low fat milk ( someone told me that it is really effective, at least for him la ). So, hopefully everything will be as what i planned and you'll see a more gorgeous me in 2011. Insyaallah.

See this pic below? Yeah, i made the top corset. It's one of the costume for the annual dinner show. I bought those LED strip from Pudu and attached it on the top. It's actually very nice and dramatic, especially on stage.


Now, i might be attending a Christmas party next Friday. And the theme is : LALA ( haha, i am no stranger in this category at all...lol ;p ) Do you think it's LALA enough if i wear something like this ( of cos not the spaghetti top and skirt la, duh ) to the party? Got chance to win BEST DRESSED or not?

This is what happened when i have no time and too tired to think of a nice concept for my Christmas gift wrapping. Bought some black paper from Jusco and tartan check fabrics from Kamdar, and tadaa ~ my humble 2010 Christmas gifts...


Nothing fancy, elaborate or grand. Just something warm and cozy, maybe with some wild wild west element. ;p
It's not my personal best wrapping, but i think it's still acceptable la. ;p

Sorry guys, if this is not what you are expecting from me. And if you are a friend of mine, you should know how busy i was / am.;p

BTW, feel free to comment on the concept, so that i can do something better next year. :)

All the Christmas VM madness is going to an end ( THANK GOD ). So now i can concentrate on the next project ( CNY 2011 ), also the MOST IMPORTANT EVENT OF THE YEAR ~ CHRISTMAS SHOPPING.

As much as i really like to buy gifts for my friends and those who are really good and helpful to me, i always need to crack my head thinking of what gifts to get for them. It's really a BIG knowledge, cos it just show how much you understand them. Cos the main thing is to make them happy when they receive your gifts.

Then, i am still clueless on how to do my Christmas wrapping this year. I got so many ideas that i can't decide which one to go with. Will share with you guys once i decide how to wrap my gifts this year. :)


Sometimes i think it's easier to buy gifts for strangers , or someone that you are not close with. At least you don't really have to worry if they like your gifts or not. Ada betul? ;p

I am currently teaching a bunch of GMs to do an opening gambit for their annual dinner. Sometimes it's a bit difficult to handle them, cos most of them are 'not young'. Very hard to explain to them what is counting, what is showmanship and what is " DON'T TALK WHILE YOU ARE DANCING" !!!

I think i've been quite patient with them, till one day. I really beh tahan and i raise my voice at them ( so berani kan? raise my voice at the GMs, lol ;p ) :

Everyone, please remember you position and steps. Concentrate. Listen carefully to the music. Do not rush. WHEN YOUR TIME IS UP, YOU GO !!! "

Alamak. I realized that the last sentence sound so salah, as if i am cursing them to go die. I quickly apologized to them. Luckily not everyone realized my mistake, cos they were still busy talking to each other ! ( sweat )


I am seriously thinking of going for English tuition. So that i can save myself from more embarrassment in the future. Should i?

I was delivering some props to my clients office. The buyer saw me and came to me. With her serious face and cold voice tone, she said to me :

" Danny, overall the feedbacks on the window display are quite positive. They like it. Good job."

My heart was beating fast when she came to me with that look cos i thought someone complained on the display. Luckily it was the opposite. You knowlah, sometimes we are fooled by other people's facial expression. And i think some people just don't have the face to deliver good news. Haha.

I was busy flipping the files at m favorite DVD shop when an uncle ( in his 40's ) came and stand next to me. He then asked the staff :

Staff : This one is new. ( some sci-fi movie, forgot the title )

Uncle : Not interested la.

( I heard that and asked the staff to take one for me. Although i don't do FB but i'm still very interested on the whole process of creating it. ;p )

Luckily i was only watching the DVD at home. My friend watched it in the cinema and non stop cursing throughout the whole movie. LOL.;p

Just did a trial dance class at a Yoga centre. After my class, i went to the counter to discuss on the feedback with the owner. Meanwhile, the yoga class is taking place in the studio.

We discussed on my teaching style and some comments from the members. Suddenly i heard the yoga instructor said ...

The whole class was shouting "F", which i was told that's the way the exercise the breathing. Call me 'sua ku' or no manners" but i just can't concentrate on the discussion anymore. I was trying very hard to hold my laugh cos the "F-ing" thing is really hilarious to me. Of all alphabets or words, why "F"?

Any yoga people here can explain why?

A lady from some event organizer offered me a job to conduct a dance session for their event and she need to know my rate. So i told her :

Me : Normally my rate for this type of event is RMxxx per session.

Her : Wah! You so CHEAP one ahh?

Me : Err .. hahaha ( not sure if i should be happy or not )
You can always give me more if you have more budget.

Her : I tell you what. Send me a quotation and put RMxxx as your charges.

Me : OK, SURE!! :)

Apparently, she just double up my normal rate, which is great.
And i'm so glad that i didn't simply raise my rate just bcoz they are a big company.;p

This is not the first time being called CHEAP ( in many ways lah ;p ), but this is definitely a great and happy one.

dolphin hunting ...

I am desperately looking for floats in the shape of dolphin or whale or any form of a fish for my coming project. It seems a bit difficult to find these floats in KL. Whenever i ask people on where to get it, most of them gave replied with the same answer :

I am seriously thinking of going to PD, just to get the floats. Is it too OVER?

It's public holiday.

The only agenda for me today is Fly FM's final rehearsal. Came back immediately after the rehearsal. Sitting in front of the tv and rest. Suddenly i felt so insecure. In fact, very insecure, unproductive and helpless. Cos i've been super busy for the fast few weeks, and a sudden 'free' day is TOTALLY OVERWHELMING.

Gosh, i think i am used to the hectic lifestyle. Am i SICK?

越聽越火滾！

Finally got some time to visit the Chinese sensei for a traditional massage ( 推拿 ) after a month. Everything is the same, except the music.

For the past few sessions, he played those slow chinese pop songs ... which is quite relaxing to listen to. But this time, he changed it to some genre that i totally HATE IT ~ the so-called crystal music ( 水晶音樂 ). Something that SUPPOSE to calm you down. But obviously it's not working on me. ;(

FYI, i listen to all type of musics. From r&b, to pop, to orchestra and even heavy metal rock. But i just can't listen to the crystal music. Not sure why. Every time i listen to it, i'll feel very mang-zhang.

Do you think that the calming element of crystal music is working on you?

Went to a friend's wedding dinner 2 weeks ago. A standard wedding dinner with grand entrance, cake cutting, champagne pouring and of cos the YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM SENGing.

So when the bride and groom came to our table, me and Sherry were a bit hesitated to shout our lung out for the toasting.

Me .. cos my voice will 'pecah' if i shout too loud or too high note. ( sweat )

Her .. cos the cameraman was standing right in front of us. She doesn't want to be captured with her mouth widely opened. ( double sweat ;p )

it's the beginning ...

... of a hectic lifestyle. When you are tied up with too many things ( that are out of your ability/ control ), funny signs will show.

I applied my night cream in the morning, after washing my face ... cos i thought i a going to sleep.

I accidentally left out body and hair when shower at night ( just washing the face ) ... cos i thought i was late for meetings.

I kept looking for food even after my meal ... cos i thought i need more energy to work.

I am counting down to the dates every day, crossing out the projects one by one.
Hope that everything will turn out fine.

happenings ...

It's been a really hectic week for me. And it's going to be even more hectic for the coming weeks. Why? Cos i over-estimated myself and ter-open too many "doors". Too many till i dunno how to organize my schedule ...

a) Halloween Party
If you are free and have nowhere to go, come join me at ChiFitnes @ Menara Pj Trade ( 2 minutes away from IKEA ) this Friday. Cos we are having the Halloween Party and Open Day. Anybody can come and party with us. And i'll be conducting Dance Class at 10pm ( yes!! 10pm .. dun tell me you are still stuck in the office ;p )

b) Fly FM - 5th FLYNIVERSARY
If you are going to attend their anniversary bash at KL Life next Saturday ( 6/11 ), do check out the performance of the FLYDOL finalist. Cos i am the one who choreograph their dance routine. I have to say that they are very energetic and talented ( in talking ), but dancing .... ( i promised them not to say BAD things about their dancing skill, so ..... i can't say anything lo....hahaha ;p )

Am training the staffs of Melium for their inter division dance performance. There's 5 girls ( betul punye ) and 2 divas ( pirated punye ;p ). Since everyone is so open and sporting, i decided to do a DIVA show for them. Basically a very sexy, slutty and bitchy dance show with lots of ' Big Mouth" signature style...lol ;p
~ Oceanic Disquo Nite
Am training 2 group of people form SP SETIA for this event. 1 for the inter-division competition, and the other one is the Opening Gambit ( performed by all the Managers ). Imagine asking a group of normally serious kokos and cheches shaking their butt. Must be patient... wish me luck.;)

d) Christmas VM
Just confirmed a few jobs on VM. Basically occupying the whole of November. One of them need to go up to Penang, a place that i'm totally not familiar with. Any Penang-kia or Penang-ke can help? Need recommendations on hotel lah...
( somewhere near Queensbay Mall... )

Remember the last entry? I said i wanted to believe the saying of " one door closes and another door opens "?

All i want to say is, i totally BELIEVE in it.. cos i think i just opened the other door. in fact a few doors. ( YAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!!!! )

what a day ...

Friday morning, got a call from one of my client's office. Not a good news for me.

Been troubled with this " issue " since last month. And now i am officially suspended from providing my service to them until everything i settled.

End of the year is the peak season for us freelance visual merchandiser. Just hope that everything will be fine. And i really want to believe that " when one door closes, another door opens". Staying positive is the best way to handle things rite? :))
Pray for me would you? :)

to help or not to help?

There's this che-che ( not regular ) in my class who always attend my class when she needs help.

Today, i saw her walking in the studio. Hmm, is she here for something? And yes, i was right. She came to me and tell me on her latest project, which is teaching bunch of kids to perform for some event. ( Which i have no interest to know ;p )

Without me saying ok, she started to shoot me with questions.
What song to use?
What kind of moves?
How to make the performance interesting?
What costume to wear?

I don't like the fact that she only join my class just to get something.
It's like taking advantages on me without my approval.
She is not even my regular member who show up every week.
Do you think that i should help her?

As an instructor, part of our job is to create a energetic and fun environment for the members while they are attending your class. One of the recommended way is to speak loud an clear. Of cos, some on and off cheer will be great.

WOOH!!! HAHHHH!! YES!!!!! COME ON!!!!! ( sebagai contoh lah ;p )

FYI, my voice tone is kinda low. ( Normally have to adjust key when singing k ;p ) So whenever i tried to cheer, everything will PECAH! Pecah sepecah-pecahnyerr. :( I have to admit that it's not very pleasant to listen. And it sometimes sounded like aqua. So the tak vogiu.


Do you know if there's any good way to prevent that to happen again? Some herb tea or something?

I know this girl, born and grew up in KL. She is really pretentious and always like to make fun of people who are bad in English. FYI, she doesn't really know Chinese as she was English educated. So one day during our gathering, i over heard her talking to another girl :

" You know lah. I always tell people that i am an A.B.C. Cos i don't speak Chinese."

I know this is my golden opportunity to laser her. So i looked at her and said ( in front of everyone ) :

Sitting at home, nothing to do. Still waiting for the confirmations on my Christmas display proposals. So i went to the tailor shop and got myself some materials. Trying to do some props for the coming Halloween parties at the gym .. which btw, everyone is INVITED!!! It's a Halloween party cum Opening Day. ( more infos on that soon )

Prop 01 : Bedazzled devil's horn
Using the original red horn that i got few years back. Add a bit of colored crystal beads for a GLAM effect.


Prop 02 : Dramatic shoulder pad
Using bra pad ( yup .. bra, not shoulder pad ) as base. Add on the crystal beads and plastic ring holder ( this one you can find at those shop selling props for jewelry display ). GLAM and fierce at the same time.


Apa macam? Ada vogiu?
Anybody want me to custom made costume props for the coming Halloween party?

As i was walking towards the nasi lemak by the roadside this morning, i felt something dropped on my shoulder. Shit! Really. I mean shit... bird shit. You know how we Chinese pantang about bird shit dropping on us, especially on the head. But what if it dropped on our shoulder?

I once came across an article about bird's dropping on shoulder. And it's actually a sign of good luck ... for the Koreans. ( is it true? )

Ever thought of what you want to be, other than what you are doing now? I mean something totally different and unexpected.

I am a freelance visual merchandiser and fitness dance instructor. But sometimes i wonder what if i am on of those professional extreme-sports performer... doing skydiving, bungee jumping or other dangerous stuff. Who knows, maybe i can add in some choreographer while diving in the sky huh? ;p

So, what's your alternate self huh?

I think small bugs like to fly into my mouth and make me choke. Is it the due to the width of my mouth? Or maybe my big mouth looks like some black hole to them. Too attractive that they just got sucked into it.
It happened a few times when i was in the class. I choked and can't cue for a few minutes. So embarrassing. :(

How to avoid it lah?
Don't ask me to keep my big mouth shut, cos that's not an option! ;p

As an instructor, we always get feedbacks or comments from the members. Some we like, and some we don't. But this is the one that i received yesterday ...

After the Latin class, 2 'tudung' girl ( which i think are 1st timer ) came to me :

Me : Hey you two. Thanks for trying and staying ya. Good job. Next time jangan malu-malu, buat aje, ok?

Girl : Haha. I am very the kayu, but i like your class very much. Especially when you shake your body and bontot. Hahahaha..

Me : Huh? ( A bit shy and dunno how to react...;p )

Girl : Yalah, my friend ask me to join cos she said you always teach the shaking steps and it's sangat sexy. That's why i join la.

Me : Err ... well in that case, thank you very much and keep on shaking ya? Haha ... ( Quickly walk away, cos i can feel that my face is blushing already ... ;p )

I think God is very fair. I don't have a super nice and rounded bontot, but have the ability to shake my FLAT ASS and make it sexy. And i am super proud of myself. ;)

Anybody wants a booty-shake battle? LOL....
(OK OK, i know that's a bit over liao .. must be humble ...;p )

( For the record, i dun wear leggings to class. But i wish to have a slightly fuller butt than what i have now. ;p )

Auntie 唔易做

I am so thankful that i have a bunch of high energy che-ches in my class. Although most of them are over their 40's, but they still dance and party like nobody's business. And sometimes surprises me with their knowledge ( i mean totally updated with the latest trend and music ).

I gave them a little preview on next week's dance after the class. I'm using ' Take it off ' by Kesha. To my surprise, one of the che-che was actually singing that song while i dance. OMG! So canggih! If you know that song, the chorus part is very Egyptian- inspired. So i did a bit of Egyptian move with some ' voguing ' ( vogue + ing = a dance move where you lipat-lipat your tangan ;p ). I thought that will impress them. Mana tau, another che-che came to me and commented :

" Danny, isn't that move from Jolin's ( 蔡依林﹣美人計 )latest MV? "

This time, i am totally speechless. UPDATED nyerrr.....
Can't wait to see them 'lipat sendiri' ( sounds so SALAH ~ 自己摺嘪 ) next week. LOL ;p

We used to call my Geography teacher " Apa King" cos he likes to use/ask "Apa" when he is teaching. We counted, almost 200 times in a period of 40 minutes.
" Benua Asia adalah benua yang APA? ... terbesar di APA? ... bumi. " " Gunung Kinabalu adalah APA? gunung yang tertinggi di APA? Malaysia. "

Then i have a supplier who like to as me 'see' things. Cos he always end his sentence with "you see" ?
"This material is different on, you see? " " My charges is consider very cheap already, you see? "

And others, just like to swear when they are talking.
" FxxK lah, let's try that. " " that dress really nice lerr.. CB " " NIAMA, just now i saw one lengchai. "

Finally ... me. I like to use "OK" when i am teaching.
" everyone OK? " " step over then jump OK? and bring the arms to the front. OK? " " let's warm up, OK? "
Sometimes i feel like laughing every time i said OK. Dunno why, it just came out from my mouth naturally.

Do you have a specific style or word that you always use when you are talking?

I was talking to a few members in front of the studio after the class. Then we saw a guy passed by proudly in front of us with a Birkin bag on his hand, which i believe it's his 'gym bag'.

So we started to comment ...

Member A : Yerrr.. so rich.
Member B : Ceh ... show off.
Me : Wah ... need like that meh?

From the above comments, my conclusions are :

Member A is ... ENVY.
Member B is ... JEALOUS.

And me?
I dunno, i dun really care.
Cos i dun fancy branded stuff anyway.
But a Birkin bag to gym, to carry sweaty shirt ?

Seriously, you think ... NEED MEH?


( Just in case you dunno what is a Birkin bag, refer to the pic which Gaga sampat-ly conteng on it. ;p )

小心！有老妖。。。

All the while i can feel some pain at my shoulder and back. So one of my friend recommend to go for traditional Chinese massage ( 推拿 ). Normally we won't say anything to them, let them tell us what is our problem... just to test if they are really good lah.

It was my 1st session. He started from my head.. OK.. then shoulder, a bit tight.. OK.. then to the back and waist.. Suddenly he stopped and said :

" 你這老妖啊，要小心。"

I was a bit blurr and shocked :

" 老妖？你要醬講話咩？"

Then only i found out that he was talking about my waist( 腰 x 妖 ). Luckily i didn't do any stupid reactions on that comment. If not sure have to dig big hole to jump in liao. LOL ;p

( sorry if you can't understand Chinese, cos it's a bit difficult to explain in English ;p )

一月不見如隔三秋

I "unintentionally" ( sumpah !!! ) mislead/ lied to someone about my age a month ago. Not going to elaborate on the details here. And i felt so guilty about it. I'm actually think that maybe i should confess.

So how are you going to react if say ...
" i met you in August and told you that i am 30 years old. And when we meet again in September, i told you that i just celebrated my birthday ... and i am now 33 years old? "

Do you think it's acceptable?
Should i confess to avoid any humiliation in the future?
Or maybe i should just keep quiet?

才發現，原來真正的微笑是不需要理由的。

Never thought that the privilege to smile from the bottom of our heart is so PRECIOUS until i was involved in that issue. And i miss the moment when i can smile for no reason, even when i am alone.

But i will still pray everyday, with the hope that everything will turn out fine.

By right i should feel excited by counting down to my big day, but i can't. Cos i am currently caught in a major issue. Therefore, my only birthday wish this year is to have the problem settled asap. And hopefully with a happy ending.

in a snap!

Based on my blogging style, do you think that i'm a long-winded person? I dun think i am. But apparently there's people that thought that i always wasting time talking nonsense when i can save their time by going straight to the point!

I have to admit that sometimes i like to add in some details or special effect when i talk, just to make it more interesting. I know some friends who don't like to talk nonsense. No introduction or extra side infos on the topic when we talk. Once once u see them, straight away climax, no foreplay. And of cos , our conversations are normally short, and kinda boring.

I am not a guy with patience, but i think sometimes all the extra small bits that makes the story interesting. Don't you think so?

( I dun think i have problem talking and do the 'SNAP' at the same time lo ;p )

I am quite free nowadays, cos finished Raya and now preparing proposals for Christmas. So most of the time i am at home, watching movies and drama-series. Temporary couch potato lah ;p. I just finish watching a new ( i think so ) drama series Honestly i never heard of it or recognize most of the actors or actresses in the series. I am solely attracted by the title : DROP DEAD DIVA. ( don't you think that it's quite interesting? )


But the truth is, there is not much or lasering, back-stabbing or fashion stuff in the series. Just some daily stuffs that is happening in our daily life. Simple yet interesting. But the thing i like most about this series is the songs that they played.

Am currently in love with " Bloom" by Nerina Pallot. Must play it the moment i on my MacBook every morning. Definitely something cheery to start my day. And the lyrics ...
"I'm gonna bloom, there's nothing that i can't do. It's never too late, never too late to bloom... "
So the suara hati for middle age people like me kan? ;p So yeah, that's the 'it' song for me.

I went for my haircut today and over heard the conversation ( in Cantonese ) between a walk-in customer and the receptionist :

Customer : 洗同埋吹點charge啊？
How much you charge ahh? Cut and blow.

Receptionist : 愛吹咩？（她應該是要問 “吹怎樣的髮形“。）
Blow what? ( I think she meant "how you want to blow/style your hair" )

Customer : 頭髮啦。
My hair lah.

The receptionist face turned blue, and mine turned red, trying my best not to laugh. LOL ;p
